I am a Masters student on the S2E track of the program with an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from UC Davis. I'm pursuing a concentration in biotechnology and biopharmaceuticals, and my goals post-graduation are to work in the industry or get a PhD. I'd be happy to talk with students about coursework, research, and NYC life.

I am a master's student on the S2E track of the program, holding an undergraduate degree in physics and finance from Sorbonne University and Sciences Po Paris. I am pursuing concentrations in climate and data, with post-graduation goals of working in management consulting, the industry, or possibly obtaining a PhD. I would gladly discuss coursework, research, and life in NYC with other students.

Chanakya Akhil Dowluru (LinkedIn)
I am a Masters student with an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, India. I'm officially not pursuing a concentration but I have coursework with segments of Biotechnology, Climate Solutions and Electrochemical tracks, and my immediate goals post-graduation are mostly to go into industry/ establish a startup. I previously interned in Oil & Gas and Pharmaceuticals which are very diverse on surface but are quite closely connected at heart with the principles of Chemical Engineering. Apart from my coursework, I am currently involved with the Gang Group at Columbia and am also a TA in the Columbia Climate School, I am also part of Columbia Climate Fund, which is a student run VC focused on investing into enterprises focusing on climate action. I am also involved in various clubs at Columbia and I am one of the current elected representatives of Chemical Engineering in the Engineering Graduate Student Council. When not on campus, you can find me strolling in central park or trying to do one of the million things NYC has to offer. I'd be happy to talk with students about campus life, getting involved with clubs at Columbia, research, NYC life etc.
Currently, I am conducting climate research, and this summer, I will be interning in computational engineering at Halliburton. I’m always happy to chat with students about anything from navigating research opportunities and securing internships to selecting courses and making the most of student life in NYC.

I’m a Master’s student in the S2E program with a dual undergraduate degree in Finance and Chemistry from Boston College. I’m pursuing a concentration in Electrochemistry, and after graduation, I hope to work at the intersection of clean energy innovation and entrepreneurship, with a focus on clean energy and circular economy solutions. This summer I will be working with a startup focused on converting methane to methanol, and in the fall I'll be working with another company building small modular nuclear reactors. I’d be happy to talk with students about coursework, finding internships, or getting involved in extracurriculars on campus!

Elina Huseynzade (LinkedIn)
I am a Master's student in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Data Science, holding an undergraduate degree in the same field from the University of Strasbourg. My interests lie at the intersection of engineering, data science, and technology, and I aspire to work in computational engineering and the tech industry after graduation.

Yogesh Jadhav (LinkedIn)
I am a Masters student at Columbia, with an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai. I’m pursuing a concentration in Biotechnology and Biopharmaceuticals and I hope to work in R&D at a Biotech or a Pharmaceutical firm. Currently at Columbia, I’m working as Research Assistant in Banta Lab, focusing on Protein Engineering. If you have any questions or concerns about pursuing ChemE at Columbia, especially related to coursework, research or life in NYC, you know who to ask!

Yash Misra (LinkedIn)
Hi, I’m Yash! I’m a Master’s student in Chemical Engineering at Columbia University, focusing on Climate Solutions and Data & Computational Sciences. I have a background in sustainability, aerospace, materials, and energy, and I earned my undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Ramaiah Institute of Technology. Over the years, I’ve worked on research spanning hydrogen production and scalability, biofuels, and hydrogen storage. Right now, I’m part of the McNeil group, where I explore atmospheric modeling to better understand climate processes. I’m planning to work in industry after graduation, but I’m also considering a Ph.D. in the future—still figuring out the right path! If you’re curious about coursework, research, career paths in energy and climate, or even just navigating life in NYC, feel free to reach out. Always happy to chat! Looking forward to connecting!
